On a fresh WordPress installation in a new directory (not the public_html root) the same site was migrated without changing its URL.
When trying to reconnect SiteKit I get the error (code: ‘redirect_uri’ mismatch).
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for reaching out. So we can understand your setup better can you share the following information:

    1. Your Site Health information, you can share privately using this form.
    2. Was Site Kit connected successfully previously, before migrating, with all WordPress files within the root directory?

We’re also working on allowing changes to a users admin path, to support wp-admin path changes. You may be impacted by the below if you have Site Kit connected previously:

    Thanks for the prompt response…
1.I have already sent the requested information
2.The WordPress installation was always in a directory (other than root). Recently changed from ‘public_html / wp’ to ‘public_html / web’
Sit Kit worked correctly on WP 5.5.2 before changing directories.
    Thanks in advance.

I understand, thanks for the update. In that case you can try perform the below steps in order to get connected.

    1. Temporarily switch your “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)” prefix from https to https in your WordPress General Settings configuration.
    2. Log back into your site once requested and then undo the changes you made (reverting back to the full address with https
    3. Open a browser incognito window
    4. Attempt setup once more

If the above fails let me know and I can see if I can get your site reset on the Site Kit service.

    Thanks again.
I had previously made those changes following those same recommendations a query from another user in the forum.
But I insisted again with the same result: Unknown Error (code: ‘redirect_uri’ mismatch).

No problem at all. We’ve just reset your site on the Site Kit authentication service now. Can you attempt setup once more and inform me if you’re able to proceed with setup?

Thank you very much James … !!
    Now Site Kit reconnected perfectly.

Excellent, great to hear it. As a Site Kit user for a while we’ve love to hear how you’re finding the plugin in the form of a review.

I am having this problem as well. I migrated a site from a staging site to live site and the Site Kit plugin redirects me to the old site after I go through the verification process during setup. Is there any way to reset my site on the Site Kit authentication service?
