Error message: Error! The price field may have been tampered. Security check failed.

If this site uses any caching, empty the cache then try again.

This has worked fine for several years. Nothing has changed in the past several months other than an update in session pricing.

    I’ve tried:

    • emptying the cache. I uploaded the plug in “WP fastest Cache”
    • I copied one of the other products, and updated it to match the Tai Chi listing
    • I’ve tried changing the price.

Nothing is working. Can you assist?

    Thanks

Hi, I just finished testing your site above and when I click on the following add to cart buttons a popup windows opens up for me.

    Private session (45 minutes)=$85.00

    Private session (60 minutes)=$95.00

However when I click on the following add to cart button I receive the error you mentioned above.

    Private session (50 minutes)=$75.00

Can you share the shortcode for the above mentioned button that produces the error message.

    Thank you.

    Thank you for checking:

Besides the Tai Chi that is problematic, I’ve also included the shortcodes that are working.

Here’s the shortcode for Tai chi (not working):

    [wp_cart_button name=”T’ai Chi Ch’üan private session” price=”$75.00″]

    Here’s the Alexander Technique shortcode:

    [wp_cart_button name=”Alexander Technique private session” price=”$85.00″]

    Here’s the CranioSacral shortcode:

    [wp_cart_button name=”CranialSacral private session” price=”$95.00″]

Please let me know if there is anything else I can send you to help.

    Thank you

Can you for testing purposes change the following name in the shortcode.

    [wp_cart_button name=”Tai Chi Chuan private session” price=”$75.00″]

Then carry out a test and let me know what happens.

    Kind regards.

That worked! Thank you so much for your help!!!!!!

I am glad that worked. I also forgot to mention that the price unit must not have the dollar symbol. In other words it should be like this price=”75.00″. Please adjust this or else you might run into other issues in the future.

Then you can try again with the apostrophes again as illustrated below.

    [wp_cart_button name=”T’ai Chi Ch’üan private session” price=”75.00″]

Also make sure your other shortcodes have the dollar symbol removed as well. Let me know what happens.

    Kind regards.

Thanks so much for the suggestion. I did remove the dollar sign. I did leave the cart name without the characters as users don’t see that anyway. You have been so helpful!!!! Thank you!!!!

The issues do lie on the umlaut characters, i.e., ? which are not supported after the last updates as I reported in another post.

Thanks to the plugin creator. It’s really very useful. ??
