• Our website (and dashboard) at https://malvernbooks.com/ appear to be down. When I visit the site (on both Chrome and Internet Explorer) I get the following error:

“The website encountered an error while retrieving https://malvernbooks.com/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
    Error code: 500″

The website has been down for most of the afternoon. Earlier today, I accepted several updates (whatever updates WordPress suggested in the dashboard at the top left of the screen). The updates appeared to go smoothly, although I didn’t try to load the site again until this afternoon. Could the updates be what caused the problem? How can I remedy this now, given that I don’t have access to the dashboard?

I write for the website, but did not set it up, and do not have access to the host or any of the code. If the error is with the site’s host, I will need to ask one of my colleagues to address the problem.

    Thanks for your help.

(I am not sure what version of WordPress we are using, as I cannot access the dashboard.)

Thanks, I’ve accessed the error logs, but alas they don’t mean much to me.

Should I post today’s error log here? (It’s quite long!)

Please use a pastebin and post the pastebin url here.

Looks like you might have some server issues:

[Tue Jul 02 15:11:31 2013] [error] [client 74.72.159.32] Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use 'LimitInternalRecursion' to increase the limit if necessary. Use 'LogLevel debug' to get a backtrace., referer: https://wallpaperbit.com/piano-wallpapers/page-3

    Contact your hosts about them.
