I’ve loved having Lara Analytics for some time, but I now can’t get through the Express setup with the Pro plugin!

I noticed that Lara was no longer working. I tried resetting data and logging in, but couldn’t and realized that I needed to update the plugin which I did. Now have 4.0.1 installed (Pro enabled, basic disabled).

Tried Express Setup again. Now Lara goes through the authorization and provides an Access Code. However, the Access code produces the error:

    Error code [400]?debug:[invalid_grant] Bad Request

every time and won’t go to step 2. I tried going into Google analytics and creating a G4 property, but nothing seems to work. Ideas?

    Hello @sildev ,

Did you try to “Reset Settings” and try again ?

    Troubleshooting steps:

I reset my settings multiple times and even deleted & reinstalled the updated plugin.. Tried the verification again, but it stuck on step 1. I would get the access code pop-up, copy/paste the code into Lara, hit Submit, the progress wheel would appear for a few seconds and then disappear. If I hit refresh or submit again, it would show the error.

I verified that the authorization for Lara was present in my Google account. It was. I revoked, retried, and confirmed that access permissions showed up again. Nothing got me past step 1.

    Solution (it’s always something simple):

I use a non-standard browser to do my website work, in my case Vivaldi, which I love and normally works really well for almost every site. As a last ditch effort, I logged in through Chrome and it loaded the admin site with Lara already at Express Setup Step 3. All I had to do was confirm the Google properties in the dropdowns and it appears the plugin is working!

I’ll check whether data is coming through correctly during the next few days, but otherwise, it looks like I’m ready to rock.

Update: the graph shows up in Chrome browser, but shows a red error bar (no error message) with no graph or data in Vivaldi browser. This did not happen with the past version of the plugin. I was able to view analytics in Vivaldi in the past, not not now.

    Hello @sildev,

Thank you for posting an update. We test our plugins on all popular browsers before every release, and this is the first time for me to hear about Vivaldi.

I will take a look and if feasible, put it on our road map.
