    I am working on a rescue site for my sister. I am fairly new to wordpress and have never used this plugin before. I’m not sure where to start but I get this huge error message on my page after entering shortcode. I have my api key.. and my shelter id. I am using wp 3.4.2 What info do you need from me to possibly help? Im worried its the theme and not the plug-in but not certain.

    Hi Christina,

    Your Shelter is not returning any data through Petfinder’s API. Can you do the following:

    Log into your Petfinder account and click on the Organization Info tab. Look for the box labeled ‘Share Pet List’ and make sure all checkboxes within this box are selected: Please share my pet list with all third parties, Partner sites & Petfinder API users.

    If the checkboxes are already checked, uncheck, save, then recheck and save again. Sometimes Petfinder needs these settings resaved to start working. You might have another issue going on, but let’s start with this one and see if you can get Petfinder returning results first.

    well with the help of my “all knowing” father he got it working. He said he edited the api… not sure how he did it but I know petfinder has revamped their developer app so maybe that will help. If you have the same trouble I can find out exactly what he did to fix it. All I know is its working now and thats fine by me! Although, I would LOVE to be able to edit the order the pets are listed in. Right now they just list oldest pet to newest pet. I suppose thats best because people will see the oldest adoptable pet first. ?? Thanks for asking Bridget and let me know if I can help YOU! ??
