• Hi I was trying to get to the admin login and I get the error Cannot create references to/from string offsets. I did not set up my companies website but have been updating information in it and have not had any problems getting into it until now. I saw an older reference to this error but do not know how to get into it to fix it. Help

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Thank you James
But how exactly do I get to phpMyAdmin?
Sorry I am new to this.

You’ll find phpMyAdmin in your hosting account’s control panel. You may need to consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics.

How do I find out who is hosting our website?

They’re the people you pay yearly or monthly to host your site, and if you stop paying, your site will go offline, so it’s pretty important to know who that is.

You might need to check with the company you’re working on this for about this.

Thanks I will check with accounting.
I just figured there would be an easy way.
Again thank you for the help.

Usually https://www.whoishostingthis.com/ is the easy way, but it looks like your site is hosted with a reseller, so it’s a bit of a dead end.
