Error: “Cannot create a user with an empty login name.”

Thanks for reaching out. Using Site Kit doesn’t require the creation of a user account. For that reason I’m wondering is this area where you’re stuck a feature of another plugin or WordPress core when creating a user account? If you’d like to share a screenshot or recording of what you’re encountering I’d be happy to investigate further. You can use a service such as Imgur or Jumpshare to share a link to any screenshot.

Thanks James. When clicking Continue on the final “Site Kit wants additional access to your Google Account” screen, this is the error I am getting:

Appreciate you sharing these additional insights @cloeber1, very unusual. So we can determine whether there is a third party plugin impacting your Site Kit setup, please follow the steps below:

1. Login to your live site from a Chrome browser incognito window.
2. Install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
3. Navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
4. From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and then click on the “Enable” option next to “Site Kit by Google“.
5. Attempt to setup Site Kit once more.

If the same occurs, please share your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
