    Hello,
I’ve been having issues non stop attempting to backing up the database.

    OS: Windows 8.1
    Wordpress Version 4.1
    MAMP Version 3.0.2
    Git Version 1.9.5

    I’ve changed the path to
    /Applications/MAMP/Library/bin/mysql/
    /Applications/MAMP/Library/bin/

nothing seems to work. I”m using port 3306 on MySQL.
Database client version: libmysql – 5.5.41
    PHP extension: mysqli

At a complete lost why it’s not working.

Also I did a fresh install of wordpress and init of git to see if it was an issue with my current project.

    Hi,

If you’re not able to backup the database it’s either because of file permissions or the path is incorrect.

If you’re not sure if your path, you can run “which mysql” in terminal for OSX or linux or “where mysql” for Windows. This will tell you what path you should be using in the revisr settings.

Once you’ve found the path you’ll just need the path leading to it, for example /Applications/MAMP/Library/bin/, instead of /Applications/MAMP/Library/bin/mysql.

Thanks for the tips but so far no luck. By the way, thanks so much not only for the help but for the plugin itself. I’m excited to start using it.

I did the where mysql (I’m using bit bash BTW) and I it provided me with this:
    c:\MAMP\bin\mysql\bin\

Which I did try already. I also chmod 755 to my directory. Still getting the issue. I’ll keep plugging away at it and let you know if I get anywhere further.

    Hi,

When you get a chance, can you please confirm if the issue persists on the latest release?

I’m also having this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can you please open a separate thread with a paste of the debug info in the “Revisr Help” tab? This should help with troubleshooting. Thanks!

I’m marking this thread as resolved since I haven’t heard back from you, but if you run into any further issues please feel free to open a new thread with a paste of the debug info in the “Help” tab. Thanks!
