    Hello!
We have just tried to import a non-latin character (Traditional Chinese) utf-8 CSV modified from the exported CSV or originally exported CSV by the plugin. When it is being imported, it always display with error “A name is required for this term.”

    Location: Taxonomy
    Type: custom taxonomy
Field name: Name, Slug (exported as is created by the plugin)

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    Thanks for getting in touch

You have to map fields in import step 4 and 5. just drag and drop field to dedicated section

Please use the migrate package if you are just transferring any data between sites.

    For migrate package

    1) click on top of the “Export With Settings For Import” button on the export page. it gives a zip file.

    2) just import that zip file and all things done automatically including field mapping set automatically

if you face any issue then please mail me sample file on [email protected] with your issue with details. i will provide solution in minimum time.

Let me know if you have any questions

Thanks and have a nice day

I am having the same issue.

I export custom tags “Export With Settings For Import” from one site, and then when I go to import it in another site I get the error “A name is required for this term”.

The export CSV does not contain a field called ‘Name’, but it does contain a reference to ‘Term Name’.

I also don’t understand where the dragging option is to map fields.
