I personally use that plugin many times to test and check the plugin/theme issue!

Ignore last post. I didn’t see your previous one.

I activated the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. Disabled all plugins bar BackWPup – BWU-1474 and switched to the Tentytwenty theme. I got the same errors.

hmmm, I answered your thread a day ago, really not sure why my reply did not show up (!?)

Could you please help me check the file? is it fine?

Also, what is the memory limit in that site, all specs are the same on your other working sites on the same server?

    Thank you!

The zip file unzips without errors.

The three sites that use your plugin all have the same following WP memory limit set

    define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘512M’ );

And operate within the following LVE parametres.

    SPEED 400%
    VMEM 0
    PMEM 4G
    IO 10MB/s
    IOPS 1024
    EP 40
    NPROC 100

hmmmmmmmmmm, could you help me try backup to Tar instead of Zip?

    Thread Starter sarumbear

    (@sarumbear)

Changing to TAR format created the same error and added even more errors due to shorter file name limit of the format.

I have updated to v3.8.0 and the memory error still exists. Log file is below:

I know it is a free plugin, I know support is not guaranteed but: you do have a paid version. What would the community think of you when you have ignored this thread for almost THREE WEEKS?

I’ve replaced the plugin folder using FTP and the cron run the backup job early this morning. I get the exact same error. Backup format is still in TAR, which is also failing due to long paths/file name.

1 month 1 week later we still have not made any progress.

Hey. Unfortunately I face the same issue; I try to backup my sites to a S3 bucket and receive the following error:

    [21-Jan-2021 20:58:52] Upload zum S3 Service begonnen …
[21-Jan-2021 20:59:02] FEHLER: Allowed memory size of 402653184 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 5242912 bytes)
    [21-Jan-2021 20:59:03] 2. Versuche, ein Backup zum S3-Service zu senden …

I’m afraid there is no help from the publisher. They sent me a ZIP a few months ago which didn’t help and since then they are ignoring the issue.

Shame that they feel as they have a paid version they can ignore the free version for months…
