• Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1072962 bytes) in /htdocs/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wfConfig.php on line 384

Hi, I know that I need to increase php, but right now is 128MB like it is suggested.

When i test via your plugin available memory, I got this

    –Starting test–
Current maximum memory configured in php.ini: 128M
    Current memory usage: 76.00M
    Setting max memory to 90M.
Starting memory benchmark. Seeing an error after this line is not unusual. Read the error carefully
to determine how much memory your host allows. We have requested 90 megabytes.
Completing test after benchmarking up to 80.25 megabytes.
    –Test complete.–

Congratulations, your web host allows you to use at least 80.25 megabytes of memory for each PHP process hosting your WordPress site.

Probably we will buy licences for 20-25 sites, but I have this error on 5-6 sites, and I need to find solution for that before…

  • Hi csteam,
I’m not sure if you are still running into this issue, sorry for my late reply, can you please check the following:
    – Go to (Wordfence > Diagnostics) page and check these values for me “WP_MEMORY_LIMIT”, “WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT” and the PHP version on your server (search for “PHP” section).
    – Go to (Wordfence > Options) then scroll down the page and make sure “How much memory should Wordfence request when scanning” has 256 Megabytes, although some web hosts set a lower limit than that in php.ini file for example, you may need to check that too.
    – Try disabling your other plugins then go to (Wordfence > Diagnostics) and check “Enable debugging mode” option and run a manual scan.
    – If you have any caching plugin installed that may have folders with large number of files on your server, try to exclude these folders from scan, you can do that from (Wordfence > Options => Exclude files from scan that match these wildcard patterns).

Let me know how it goes,
    Thanks.
