Hello DJM,
First of all, thank you for reporting this issue. We apologize for the inconvenience.
We’re testing a lot, so we’re curious to find out what happened here. Version 5 of the plugin introduces two new database fields (settings and token). Apparently, something went/goes wrong on your 2nd blog. It looks like it’s trying to change the database even though the new ‘settings’ field is already there.
We have a couple of questions:
1. You wrote you had to remove the plugin. Did you also install the plugin again? Are there still any problems now? When you deactivate the plugin and remove it, the database tables get removed as well. So then a new plugin install will result in a fresh set of database tables (basically a fresh plugin install). Probably that resolved the issue in your case, but not the root cause;
2. Are there any differences between your first and second blog hosting environment (WP version, PHP version, etc.)? So far, we don’t have any other reports from users running into the same issue. I think something went wrong during the update process leading to an incomplete update;
3. Do you have access to the wp-debug.log on your server? Is it possible to retrieve that file and send it to us? I think it contains valuable information about what went wrong during the initial update process.
Hope to hear from you and thanks for your help!
Kind regards,
Mark
