i have recently updated woocommerce from 7.7.2 to version 7.8.0. Since that moment i’m receiving an error, but only in firefox somehow, in the situation that i click in wp-admin on products, and then on all products, or on add new (freely translated by me, as i’m using a dutch version).

Once i click on one of those menu items related to products , a product (but i have the feeling it’s also not always), i receive a popup with the text ‘Nieuw eigenschap toevoegen mislukt.’ (again freely translated, it means: Adding new attribute failed.)

I have tested it in Chrome, and i do not get the errors over there.

I did a rollback to 7.7.2, and then the error is gone. Reinstalled 7.8.0, and then that message is back again.

Does anybody have any idea how to solve this?

I am also seeing this error on our WooCommerce store on every PHP version above 7.4.

Also getting the following error when accessing “WooCommerce/Home”:-

There was an error getting your inbox. Please try again.

Please kindly resolve ASAP and let us know when done.

I have the same problem, though I don’t know if it causes anything. Maybe it’s just a prompt issue.

I have this issue too, on the “all products” page in wp admin. The message popups ‘nieuwe eigenschap toevoegen mislukt’, translated something like: ‘adding new property failed’. I’m on Firefox and 8.1.18.

I also have this problem with specifically 1 website. However, a few seconds ago I saw a new update of WooCommerce 7.8.1. This solved the problem for me!

    Good luck!

    Hi all.

Yes the new update to 7.8.1 did fix the New attribute error. However I do have an additional error that was also present in the last version.

I cannot create a new or amend existing products on my Woocommerce site (on a WP site) I can navigate around but as soon as I click update it redirects me to ‘page not found’ screen on my site and nothing changed. I can’t even start to create a new product as not adding any media or details.

The site still works to the viewer, ordering and paying through WC.

    Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Hi @yeahfree , @macomcreative , @cookie1974 , @southerncoaster , @barnaj , @teszilla

This was an open issue reported on GitHub here. The fix was included in WooCommerce version 7.8.1.

Please can you update WooCommerce to its latest version which should resolve the issue.

With WooCommerce 7.90 the error still pops up when opening a product for editing. This is not resolved here.
