Error after update to Genesis Simple Edits 2.1.3

I’m getting the same error here. Had to deactivate the plugin until some fix.

Just updated Genesis to 2.2.3 and plugin is at 2.1.3 (child theme is Epik), Wp is 4.3.1.

Same error shows on top of live site. Had to deactivate.

Same here – also seeing Header already sent along with the error above.

same here – and thank you so much as I was getting ready to re-install everything to find out what this was. You posted this 6 minutes ago and it showed up #1 when I did a search. amazing. I deactivated genesis simple edits and the error disappeared and I could log back into my WP install.

SO – Nathan Rice is already aware of this and updated his plugin 5 minutes ago and it fixed the problem!

They just released the update, hit refresh, update and all is well again!

Fixed with Genesis Simple Edits 2.1.4.

Deactivated then reactivated and it prompted me for an update to 2.1.4…I’m attempting to update manually.

I’m having the same error, but I’m a newbie at all this and don’t have a clue how to fix. I have not idea how to deactivate it. Help!

@tbrewerphoto If you still have admin access to your site, you can deactivate the plugin from Plugins → Installed Plugins by clicking “Deactivate” under Genesis Simple Edits.

If you see an “Update” link there, updating to version 2.1.4 should solve this issue.

If you can’t access the admin area, you can remove the plugin via your web host’s file browser or by using an FTP application. You’ll need to browse to wp-content/plugins/ and delete or rename the genesis-simple-edits folder. You should then be able to access the admin area again to update it to 2.1.4.
