We are sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with our plugin. We can imagine how that could be frustrating for you when seeing the fatal error. Let’s see what’s going on here.

The issue you are currently experiencing is a known bug specific to Yoast Duplicate Post v4.0 and v4.0.1 and our development teams are already working on this to release a patch for this. We are expecting a patch release soon. As soon as you see a new release, please update the plugin to the latest version and that shall fix the issue for you.

In the meantime, we are afraid to say that you might want to either disable the plugin or downgrade to Yoast Duplicate Post v3.2.6 to avoid the relevant fatal error on your site.

We are truly sorry for any inconvenience about this!

I updated for the v4.0.2 but the error still present in the WP dashboard:

    Hi @psychonet,
can you tell us which other plugins you have installed and active, at least those who add anything to the WP dashboard?

See the image with the plugins that I have installed and active.

    Hi Enrico,

I have the same issue, but I have recreated it on a clean install as follows:

I did clean install of WP5.6.
    I then installed Elementor 3.0.16
    Followed by Yoast DP 4.0.2

    Nothing else.

When I run this with 2021 theme all is well – no errors.

I then installed and activated Rife Free theme (no framework data etc – just the theme files). Once this is activated I get the errors.

Looking at the area where it is broken (class-post-list.php line 63), it seems that the query to get posts__not_in value is returning a null value in this function.

I was looking a bit deeper, but as I noted that you are receiving other information about this issue, I thought I would at least pass this to you before continuing.

I am not that familiar with this stuff, so I am not sure at this moment in time why the theme has an effect on how or why this function is called….

    Anyway, hope that helps,

    Mark.

    Hi @markc369

Just to clarify, the same errors show up for you when you only have the Rife theme, and Yoast Duplicate Post 4.0.2 and Elementor 3.0.16 enabled?

I can confirm that the issue is between Yoast Duplicate and Rank Math SEO. When I disable the Yoast or the Rank Math SEO plugins the issue is gone.

    Hello,

We recommend reporting plugin conflicts to the developer of the conflicting plugin as they may have additional information vital to providing a resolution.

    Thanks!
