    Hi there,

After the most recent update I received an error, and couldn’t get to the backend of my website anymore. I deleted the plugin and everything works again. Just wanted to let you know.

  • 3.1.5 also causes this issue

I’ll have to contact BLuehost support to recover access to wordpress before I can do anything else.

It’s possible Really Simple SSL and BackupWordPress are causing a comparability issue with each other. After deleting BackUpWordPress and using 3.2.2, I was able to get Really Simple SSL working by activating plugins 1 at a time to check for any compatibility issues with plugins. Couldn’t include BackUpWordPress in this test as that plugin’s already causing a known issue with the website where it triggers an error message site wide. Deleting that plugin seems to allow me to activate Really Simple SSL v 3.2.2 without issues.

Hi, @rogierlankhorst all I can tell you right now is that when I saw that error message I sent you, I took that screenshot, which I saw in other sites as well before. I then clicked refresh and it appeared to be normal. I have NOT updated to the next version of Really Simple SSL as many of my sites are running ClassicPress (the WP 4.9 fork) so I wanted to ask if that could have caused the error message or what may be going on. My sites are hosted w/Blue Host yet I have very strong wifi at home – just not great with SSL.

I can try updating the plugin on some demo sites in the meantime. I’ll read some more on it as well.

Hi @affordablewebsitesdenvercom, Really Simple SSL should be able to work on Classic Press as well, but I haven’t tested the update procedure there. If you run into any issues with the demo updates, let me know and we’ll take a look.

I’ll close this thread for now. If you run into any issues, or new information is available, please start a new thread so we can treat each issue separately.

Thanks for your input and patience.
