My form is redirecting to PayPal successfully, but at least one user has gotten an error message from PayPal after they entered their payment info and hit submit. They verified that their payment info was correct. Could this be a problem with handoff to PayPal? I have verified the IPN settings.

What is the error message that your customer got on the PayPal website?

    Hi Collin,

Unfortunately the customer did not take a screenshot or copy the error verbatim. Here is how they described it:

[On the WordPress site] I put in my personal information and registered. Once you submit that, you are re-directed to the Paypal site to pay the $185 fee. That is where I am running into trouble. I enter in all the payment info, and have verified it is accurate, but once I hit submit, it says there is a problem right now and to try again. I went through that three times. I don’t know if it is an issue on Paypal’s end or [the WordPress site].

I can ask them to try paying again if that would be helpful.

Yes, if you could get the exact text of the error message, and the page it happens on (PayPal website or the client website) that would be helpful in troubleshooting the problem further.

I can confirm that the error was displayed on PayPal, not on the client website.

The customer ended up paying using another method (check), and we haven’t gotten reports of any more issues, so it might have been an isolated PayPal incident. I will start a new thread if it keeps happening. Thank you!
