Hi,

Went to my dashboard this morning to update plug-ins, including NextGEN.

Now all I have is a blank page with one line of text across the top which says:

/home/myusername/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/product.photocrati_nextgen.php is not a valid Pope module

I get the same page when I try to login to Wrodpress admin and the same page appears to be showing online so people visiting my site are seeing that too….

Have searched and seen a lot of advice about changing it but if I can’t even log in, I can’t do anything. Wish I had read all these posts about update troubles before I started.

Any advice? Please be gentle and make it simple…. I am very new to this ?? Thanks

PS: I have replaced my actual username with “myusername” in that line of text.

Please…… any help?
I don’t hink I even had nextGEN activated and it has done this.
I cannot log in to my dashboard.
No-one can see my website.
I am losing business.

Anyone???

Upload latest 1.9 using FTP! Nextgen 2.x is a joke so far…

My web-guy suggested that and while I have been trying to figure out how to do it, he disabled the plugin by renaming the file and my site is up and running again and I can log in as usual.

I appreciate your reply ?? Don’t think I’ll risk using this plugin again, I can live without it…..

Nextgen 1.9 was a 100% stable and reliable plugin. You can download it from here:

@jewellertracy – Wow, that must have been terrible. I’m sorry to read it appears NextGEN caused this issue for you.

I know it may be an inconvenience, but when you stress levels do return to normal and if you have a few moments, could you submit a Bug Report of what happened in your case. We’d really appreciate it.
