Error after manual install

  • Hi i have just made a manual install to the root directory, however i cannot login to the site, it gives me the following messages after the installation:

    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/prmutola/public_html/wp-config.php:1) in /home/prmutola/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 934

  • Disable all your plug-ins first

    Make sure there are no blank spaces at the top of your wp-config.php file.

    Thanks, but firstly i do not have any plugin installed, like i said it’s a new installation and akismet is disabled. And yes there are no blank spaces at the wp-config.php file.

    Any other possible solutions, please. Thank you so much!

    This kind of error is normal with a blank line after the php closing tag. In your case I would check the wp-includes/pluggable.php at the very bottom if there is a closing tag and ob there is a empty line after that.

    Try downloading the WP again and over write the files in the root dir

    Take a look at some possible solutions from others with the identical error message. Maybe someone in those discussions has a solution that will work for you as well.

    Try and delete wp-config.php file and reinstall running install program and let install program create the wp-config.php file.

    if it still does not work may be a file is corrupted while uploading try replacing wp-includes folder
