    Hi,
After last update I am unable to edit posts in back end – Error message is:-
Catchable fatal error: Argument 1 passed to WPSEO_Admin_Bar_Menu::get_post_score() must be an instance of WP_Post, instance of stdClass given, called in /home/leapinghare/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/inc/class-wpseo-admin-bar-menu.php on line 144 and defined in /home/leapinghare/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/inc/class-wpseo-admin-bar-menu.php on line 482

Can edit from front end and when Yoast deactivated all fine in back end. Any help greatly appreciated.

    Cheers
    Simon

Can you confirm you have v8.0 of Yoast SEO for WordPress and v4.9.8 of WP?

Could you please check for a plugin or theme conflict:

    1. Make sure the issue doesn’t persist when Yoast SEO is disabled.
    2. Check for conflicts.
    3. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.

If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.

If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

    Hi
V 8.0 of Yoast but not updated to 4.9.8 WP so will get that sorted and see if problem continues. As stated with Yoast disabled no issues.
    Cheers

    Hi,
WP updated and same issue continues – To confirm only get error message with plugin activated. Deactivate Yoast SEO and issue is gone.

We understand the issue persists when Yoast SEO active. However, we’d still like you to please perform a conflict check to see whether this resolves the issue.

Thanks for reporting! The fix for this issue is scheduled to be released with 8.1, see the issue on GitHub for further details.

Hi, with WP multisite 4.9.8 and Yoast SEO v8.0 categories are missing and only a blank page is showed and this error on logs:

PHP Fatal error: ob_start(): Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in /var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/frontend/class-frontend.php on line 1820

With Yoast disabled all are ok. I downgraded yoast to 7.9 but same result.

    Hi @valrey,

Your issue seems to be unrelated to the one mentioned above. Please follow the instructions here to report your issue or create a new thread.

    Thanks!
