I used the alternative method to configure the firewall in Siteground, but after adding the auto_prepend_file I received this message within the PHP variables manager. My site still works, but I still am receiving the message to configure the firewall. All caches purged. No spaces, extra characters in prepend file path. Error message:

  • Hi @larkspur
If you followed the same instructions mentioned in “SiteGround and other hosts without .user.ini support” section and you are getting these errors, then I’m pretty sure there is something wrong with the PHP variables manager in your cPanel, and I suggest getting in contact with SiteGround regarding this issue.

    Thanks.

    Hi @larkspur
Since I haven’t heard back from you I am assuming that the instructions helped you solve your issue so I am marking this topic as resolved.

If however, for whatever reason, you are still experiencing this issue and it is not resolved please respond to the post, which will move it back up the queue, and mark this topic as “not resolved”.

    Thank you.
