Hi, I’m trying to configure my google analytics through my Site kit plugin and it’s not working. I don’t know what the problem is. I tried resetting the plugin but I still can get it to work. The site health is good and I’m running a WordPress 5.5. The Sit kit version is 1.14.0. My sites health has been shared privately.
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for opening a support topic. Please try the steps below, which temporarily deactivates other plugins and switches to a default WordPress theme (for you only, as a logged in user).

    1. Open a Chrome browser incognito window
    2. Install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
    3. Navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
    4. From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and then click on the “Enable” option next to “Site Kit by Google”
    5. Attempt to setup the Analytics module once more

You can exit troubleshooting mode afterwards. If the above fails can you inform me of the below:

    1. Who is your current hosting provider?
    2. Can you confirm your site URL is https://fr*********ty.com? As you referenced another WordPress topic in when posting your Site Health information I just to verify I have the correct information.

    Hi,
I tried setting up Site kit in incognito mode in troubleshooting mode but failed.
My current hosting provider is Bluehost and my site URL is https://mywendynaturalhair.com/

Thanks for the update. I noticed your site is accessible via both http and https at present. Can you for a redirect to your secure (https) site? Your hosting provider should be able to assist with this, or you can use a redirection plugin.

If that fails to resolve the issue please share your Site Health information here or privately.

    Hi,
Have I have redirect my site to Https using the Really simple SSL (although it doesn’t show yet. It still results Http). I tried setting up Google Analytics from Site Kit plugin but it failed again. I’ve sent site health privately.

Many thanks for sharing your Site Health information. From inspecting the details and also inspecting your sites source code it looks like a caching plugin active along with control panel activated caching. I noticed you have your files minified also, which could be a factor in your setup issue depending on the configuration.

From a browser incognito window can you inform me if you encounter the same issue when trying to setup Analytics using following both scenarious below:

    1. When selecting an existing Analytics account
    2. When trying to create a new Analytics account from within Site Kit

I have redirect my site to Https using the Really simple SSL

Great, the redirection seems to be working fine now, which is best practice for secure sites such as your own.

    Hi,
I tried creating a new Google Analytics account through incognito mode and it worked! Thank you very much for your help. Analytics is as connected. Do I need to do anything else?

That’s great, thanks for the update. Useful to know in case others also encounter the same issue also.

If you have a moment free considering sharing your experience of using Site Kit. And if you encounter anymore trouble setting up or using Site Kit get in touch.
