    I see the red ! in the AntiSpam dash and when I go to settings I see the message:

    Notifications: Oct 11 2023 00:47:25: Error occurred while checking account status. cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

    All protections were listed with red x as not active.

    I re-entered access key and protections now report as restored, but the above notice persists in Anti-Spam plugin settings.

    Hello @mountbest.

    Please do the following:
    1) WordPress Admin Page → Settings → Anti-Spam by CleanTalk → Advanced settings → change the “Use WordPress HTTP API” option → Save Changes.
    2) Click “Synchrinize with Cloud” in the plugin settings, wait until the rotating icon disappears and refresh the page.

    If this does not help:
    3) Set the “Use WordPress HTTP API” option back.
    4) Check if our IPs are available from your webserver: https://cleantalk.org/help/cleantalk-servers-ip-addresses (points 1 and 3).
    5) Check if CURL support and allow_url_fopen (in php.ini) options are available and enabled on your webserver.?
    You can ask about this your webmaster or your hosting provider.

    1+2 worked after I refreshed the settings page. Notification disappeared. I set the “Use WordPress HTTP API” option back and there is no notification.
