Error: A Font Awesome version number was expected but not given
-
Recently a change was made to the kinds of versions that can be configured on Font Awesome Kits within the Kits Settings UI on fontawesome.com. Unfortunately, that change is not yet compatible with this plugin. Here’s an explanation and workaround:
With the recent change in Kits Settings on fontawesome.com, new version setting options are available, including “Latest 5.x” and (if you have beta features enabled) “Latest 6.x”. This plugin doesn’t know how to handle those symbolic versions, and one of those is now the default version selection when you create a new kit.
The workaround right now is just to choose “pick a version…” from the Version setting dropdown on settings for your Kit, and choose one of the specific versions. If you’re a Pro subscriber and you have beta features enabled, you can even pick 6.0.0-beta1.
Then in this WordPress plugin, on the Use a Kit tab, if you’ve already entered your API Token and sync’d with your kits data, just click to “refresh kits data”, and select that kit you just updated on fontawesome.com
