• Dear

I’ve got an issue during uploading pictures from my iPhone into my webshop.
I created a webshop with Woocommerce and added a PPOM upload field which allowed the following extensions: jpg,pdf,zip,png,heic,heif,hevc,H.264,png,jpeg,tiff.

Unfortunately, when I try to upload a picture from my iPhone library, the website gives an error: Error #-601: File extension error.
When I take a picture right away, no issue is found.

In the URL below you could try this on your own.

Probably there is another extension which need to be added, but I don’t know which one. Is there a possibility to fix this?

    Thanks in advance!

  • I think that error is a Windows system error…

Just a big guess here but… I’d suggest turning off the Pegassaas plugin for a bit and see if that helps… If it does then ask their support for a bit of help. Maybe there’s an interim file format or something that your webserver chokes on.

I’d appreciate an update one way or the other to help me understand a bit more and maybe help others.

    Hi @jnashhawkins

    Thanks for your reaction.
Unfortunately, the Pegassaas plugin is not the culprit.
After disabling the plugin, the Error 601 was still popping up.

    Best regards

    Well, it was a thought…

I wonder what that filename is… and I wonder how we can tell. Error logs maybe?

    Hi,

I also get this error message when using the PPOM plugin. It might be because of the size of the file. Files over 3 mb seems to get this error message. I have set 20 mb as a maximum in the PPOM settings, but it still doesn’t work. Could it that 3 mb is maximum on the server?

    Please advice.

    Thanks!

I got the same error using PPOM plugin. This is how I fixed it.

The error was because I had not included the files extensions such as jpeg or png in the file types field when setting up file input in PPOM.

Once I included my prefered file extensions, the error seized.

Don’t stick with the default file extensions only which are jpg, zip, pdf. Include your on extensions separated by a comma and it will work.

THanks for your reply. I have already included jpeg, so that is not the issue. Most of the jpeg files works, but not this particular one. Our customer had to email it to us instead.

Looked further into the size as the issue and that was not the case either. We can upload other images that are bigger than 3 mb. So the problem is still unsolved ??

Hoping for some help to solve the issue.

    Thanks!
