ERROR 502 – BAD GATEWAY

  • While I was writing a post I saved draft and when clicking preview got ERROR 502 – BAD GATEWAY.
    Trying to go to my admin panel also results in same message ERROR 502 – BAD GATEWAY

    here’s the full message
    Why am I seeing this page?

    The server that your request has reached is acting as a gateway or proxy to fulfil the request made by your client.

    Web Browser => Web Front-End => Web Back-End

    This server (Web Front-End) received an invalid response from an upstream (Web Back-End) server it accessed to fulfil the request.

    In most cases this will not mean that the upstream server is down, but rather that the upstream server and the gateway/proxy do not agree on the protocol for exchanging data.

    This problem is most commonly caused when there is a problem with IP communications between the Web Front and Back-Ends. Before you attempt to resolve this problem you should clear your browser cache completely.

    – 502 Bad Gateway is likely a server error. Try contacting your host.
    – Meanwhile, clear cookies from the current browser, try a different browser.

    tried these as well as tried going to the site from my phone. same message.

    OK, spoke with support and my “PHP settings were not properly set”. Whatever that meant, its ok now.

    I am also facing similar problem while updating post I am receiving same error 502 bad gateway. I tried to uninstall and delete all plugins and change themes but it is not working as well as I contacted hosting service provider godaddy but they are also not able to fix

    Help, I just received this message!
