Hi there, I tried to insert the %page variable on a customized title. But it crashed. The page was the main page of the shop (WooCommerce). I’d need it to solve the issue about one title for 6 pages. Could you help me please?

The title was something like “Bla bla bla %page – bla bla bla”

  • Hi Giulio,

Thank you for contacting the Yoast Support Team. We are sorry you are having an issue with the plugin.

The 500 error is most likely caused by a plugin/theme conflict on your website. We’d recommend the following:
? Make sure you’re running the latest version of WordPress 4.9.6 and Yoast 7.7.3
? If you’re already up-to-date and the problem persists, you may want to perform a conflict check by following?these steps?to identify the conflict: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/
? Check your server’s log for more details about the 500 error. If you don’t know where to check or do not have the privileges to check the error log, please contact your web hosting provider.?

We look forward to your response.?

On my log there is not any PHP notice about your plugin or something that could let think some 500 error. But it is a strange because it not was concern all the web site, but only the page where I tried to use that customization. First the main shop page and then some categories.

My WordPress version is the last and also the version about your plugin.

    Hi Giulio,

Thanks for following up. Please check if the issue persists when Yoast SEO and WooCommerce are the only plugins activated.

I have tried to replicate this issue locally but was not able, the %%page%% variable worked as expected in my test: https://i.imgur.com/xOt4thv.png

We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Marius, I appreciated your help, so thank you. Could you try to add something else after the variabile? Or if you can try another time you could paste directly my title, that was: “Bla bla %%page%% – Bla bla”.

    Hi Giulio,

Sorry for the late reply. I have tried replicating the same title and it has worked as expected: https://i.imgur.com/RYYZvTJ.png

The issue is likely related to your particular setup, I have tried to use this title on 3 different websites and couldn’t replicate this issue.
