Error 500 When I try to login

  • Last night as I was working on my site it suddenly logged me out and then each time I tried to access my login it would give me a server error keeping me from logging in. Also my site was still running until earlier today and now it says it is down for maintenance.

    So my site is down and I have no way to fix it. I contacted my hosting Bluehost and they offered a few suggestions saying that my server may be down, but they offered little help. How do I fix this issue. Would like to get my site running again!

    Can you mention any changes made to site…we cannot review a site we cannot access?

    I had just updated my theme I believe and changed just a few things in the css and the post.php… I was really just working on some aesthetic changes. I can’t access the site either and that is the major problem.

    Make backup of current theme and delete it from control panel of hosting.
    Wordpress will auto change it to Twenty theme.
