Error 500 – Internal server error after posting and editing
-
I have been several blog for a couple of years now.
My one blog (https://www.lifelearning.org) started giving me trouble yesterday. After any post or edit it gives me an:
Error 500 – Internal server error
An internal server error has occured!
Please try again later. The changes are made, however.
I researched on line and tried several things- changing file permissions on htaccess file around – was suggested it need to be 755 on several posts.
I have edited the file, deleted the file then updated perma-links function, etc.
I have not installed any new plug-ins a long time.
I ended upgrading to newest wordpress version (2.2.3) and checked a couple of times and that seemed to fix it..
this morning the problem is back. I phoned my hosting company (1and1.com) and they also checked file permissions, etc as well as their server. They don’t know what the problem is except to say it has something to do with scripts- and they have escalated the ticket.ANY thoughts?? I have spent several hours looking into this and I am quite frustrated.
Thanks,
Lisa
