Error 500- Internal Server Error

  • Hi there. Not sure what version of wordpress I am using…
    My problem is that I am not able to upload pictures to accompany my posts. The text goes up no problem. I browse for the image to upload and it comes up with the Error 500- Internal Server Error message: An internal server error has occured!
    Please try again later.

    Any thoughts? Is it how the image is named or the size of the image?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    check your error log
