• I would be very grateful for the answer. When I tried to install the plug-in to version 3.5.1. I got error 500. Now it is impossible to go to the admin panel. The answer is the same:

    Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

What do you recommend to restore access to the site?

3 minutes was enough me to catch it. Taken down to hell the plugin folder from the server, and access has been renewed.

Would appreciate to the authors, if they fix this bug breaking older versions. And I went to pour fresh 4.7 blood ).

The latest version of WF crashes my site (WP 4.7.1) with out of memory errors but others are having similar problems. My PHP memory allocation is just 28% used. Haven’t found an answer yet. I may try the previous WF version (6.2.9) as I had no problems with that but I was also using an older WP version.

    Hi @compus
More details about this “Server error 500” should be in the server error log files, so I would appreciate if you can check that for me and keep me updated.

@rogerd202 how much memory you have set for “WP_MEMORY_LIMIT”? try allocating “256MB” and re-check this issue.

    Thanks.

Thanks for your interest in this problem. According to the WP Plugin “Server IP and Memory Usage Display” memory limit is set at 256MB of which I am using 64.31MB as I write (25%).

Update to my last post which was a report on PHP Memory. WP_MEMORY_LIMIT is set to 40Mb so I’m looking to see where I increase that. Can’t see reference to it in the setup or ini files yet………

Okay I’ve now added a line to my wp-config.php increasing the WP alocation to 256MB. I’ve just reactivated Wordfence and the site seems stable now. Thanks for your suggestion which I see is a common ocurence in WordPress. I will continue to monitor this………
