Hi can anyone please help me
I had the wordpress download monitor installed. I was having a few problems with it, and so uninstalled it and reinstalled via ftp. It is in the correct folder etc. But when ever I try to add an image to a post, using the download monitor i get a 500 error. I have been on the forum for the plugin but do not want to drive the poor guy around the bend!
He has suggested trying to remove the ht access file and seeing if that makes a difference.
I have looked and looked, but can not see where this file is? I am also a little scared of removing it?
    I would appreciate any advice.
    Thanks
    Sarah

Also, re my 500 error message, I have looked at my error log on the server and it says, premature end of script headers:and then my url ending in wp-content/plugins/download-monitor/uploader.php

I would really appreciate some help with this as I need to finish this project for my university course.

I am really not sure what I am supposed to be doing with the file, but I would really like to get this plugin working.

I have now completely lost my site! I am getting a 500 error for the whole site.
I managed to locate .htaccess on my server. I renamed it and also downloaded a copy of the file before renaming. I renamed the copy on the server to .htaccess1 and then was going to reset my permalinks, but could no longer access my admin panel. so, I then changed the link name back to .htaccess This did not resolve the problem, so I trie to upload the .htaccess file that I had downloded, I was not able to do so. I am in a terrible panic! Please can you help me.

    OK
I now have a basic site with no theme showing, or access to the admin panel.

‘You don’t have permission to access /troyblog/wp-admin/ on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.’

I this all stems from my renaming the htaccess file and then changing it back again.
please can someone help me, I would be sooooo greatful!
