• I am also getting a 405 Not Allowed response when trying to send a test email.

The 405 response occurs with port 587 (with TLS encryption) and with 465 (with SSL encryption). However, when I try port 25 I simply get a “network unreachable” error on the settings page page.

My webhost is Bluehost. Our WordPress site is multisite.

Our wp-admin error log shows a number of error messages along the lines of: Uncaught exception 'Google_Auth_Exception' with message 'Error fetching OAuth2 access token, message: 'invalid_grant: Code was already redeemed.'' in ~/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/gmail-smtp/google-api-php-client/src/Google/Auth/OAuth2.php:125

Revoking access and trying to reestablish it did not help.
