    I’ve been trying to solve an issue for hours, that I thought may be code related, but…

    Every time I saved my page I was redirected to a 404 page. Only happened when I pasted a section of content into one of the blocks. Drove me nuts, so I started typing the content and saving after every character. As soon as I typed an apostrophe I got this error, so for example: Bill’s would cause an error.

    Any idea why this happens? I’ve been using multiple content blocks for years and have never had this happen before.

    Nope, never heard of this issue. Are you using the standard content block?

    Does this happen in the normal content box as well?

    Nope, only happens on the block. Yep, standard content block.

    <?php echo get_the_block(‘highlight’); ?>

    I’ve just tried this on a clean install, but I cannot reproduce this.

    Does this happen on just the one install or can you reproduce this on other installs?

    Hi Harold,

    Thanks for getting back to me so quickly on this. I’ve dug a little deeper, and no, this doesn’t happen on other installs that I’ve tested, so:

    I renamed all the blocks and started again. The problem has gone. The problem could be in the name of the blocks, as I had used the same names in another template. Thoughts?

    Also, the problem only occured with the character ‘, not ’

    It’s most likely a combination of server settings and specific website setup (theme and plugin code).

    I truly have no idea what actually happened, but I’m glad your problems are solved.

    Marking this as resolved, no further investigation needed for now.
