Error 404 on post pages

  • I’ve been seeing this error randomly of recent. A post or two might become missing and return error 404. This is happening to both new and some old posts.

    The post slug usually turn to just posts.

    A post that originally looked like doncaprio.com/2012/12/abc-xyz-ghj.html might suddenly change to doncaprio.com/2012/12/posts.html

    I have no idea why this is happening and I’m losing traffic. Any help?

    Still no help.

    /%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%.html

    Using that permalink structure cuz I moved from blogger to WP but I seem to be having this issue with the posts I made after I got to WP. Just a number of them and it’s random. I sometimes need to check google webmaster tools to know which post is missing.

    the %postname% which should be the slug suddenly turns to just “posts”
