    Hi there!

I have a new installation of Download Monitor Plugin but it is not working (or at least a part of it).

I can upload files without any issue, but when I click on the download link, I always get a 404 not found error.

I integrated this plugin with Email Before Download plus Contact Form 7, and this part is working well (when a user fills a form then receives a file).

However, when I try to use a direct link to download a file I cannot do this.

I have been looking for different solutions at google.com, but no one seems to work for me.

    I appreciate any help,

    Thank you in advance!

    Plug-in version: 1.9.6

    P.S.
I’ve tried the option to add a new page, and insert the code [dlm_no_access]
When I access directly to this page I can’t see anything at page.

  • I’m having the same problem, although I’m not using Email Before Download. It’s definitely related to permalinks because if I set the permalink settings to Plain, the download works as it should. It just won’t work with pretty permalinks.

    Resaving permalinks has no effect.

    Yes, that’s it.

At WordPress Site Settings, select Permalinks and then choose “Plain”.

    That will solve the issue.

    Thanks a lot!
