-
Hi @doaction, thanks for opening a support topic with us. To help you with this further please can you share the following:
- Your?Site Health information?and we can investigate this further. You can?use this form?to share privately if preferred.
- Have you performed a site migration recently, changed your domain or admin path?
- Do you encounter the same when trying from an Incognito browser window?
Please also feel free to share any screenshots or recordings. These can be shared to the private form above. Let me know if you have any questions.
I did the tests you asked me to do. I used the form yesterday, I have already filled in the fields as requested.
I also encounter the problem when opening the incognito browser window.
@doaction thanks for sharing the information. I can’t see anything obvious standing out here. Could you please try the following:
- Run through the steps here to see if there is any conflict that could be causing this to happen.
- Perform a Site Kit reset and try to setup once more.
Let me know how these go and if you have any other questions.
I have already carried out these two points, because before opening a new ticket with you I read other tickets. I need to fix this as soon as possible, please.
@doaction Thank you for explaining and sorry that the troubleshooting so far hasn’t found you a solution. If possible, could you please share a recording of your experience? This will help us to see what exactly is happening here and in what order. You can use a service such as Loom to record and share the video URL here or in the private form you previously shared.
Could you also share the URL you land on when receiving the 404 error when attempting to reconnect/configure Site kit.

@doaction Thanks for sharing that’s very helpful indeed. I can see that when trying to set up Site Kit that it is going to ?https://veronaenjoy.it/it/wp-admin/. It looks like your current admin path does not include the ‘/it‘ and this is where the issue is.
Was your admin path previously configured to ?https://veronaenjoy.it/it/wp-admin/ and has it been changed recently or in the past? The reason I ask is that it looks as though Site Kit is expecting the ‘/it‘ but as this admin path doesn’t exist then this is why you are getting the 404 and you are unable to complete setup.
One thing you can try here is to update the URL Site Kit redirects you to and remove the ‘/it‘ from the address bar and navigate to that URL. If that does not work then let me know and I can ask the internal team to check your site records on the Site Kit service and we may be able to reset these to allow you to complete the setup.
Let me know if you have any questions.
how can I update /it for site kit? where do I find the possibility to change it? Thank you
@doaction You can do this from the URL address bar once you have been redirected to the 404 page. Update the URL and go to the URL without the /it.
So the URL you will navigate to would be: ?https://veronaenjoy.it/wp-admin/?action=googlesitekit_proxy_exchange_site_code&googlesitekit_code=sitekit-DHmz9EaR36nThvtLTauWsG&googlesitekit_site_code=4%2F0AfJohXnyC6AFRFyGdJbgVGcmKz9nN3Cs9f9nZEseysmiGUsKUmtrG3affMpJKaHxpoTH8w&nonce=9e3bf40a09&step=verification
I solved it, I succeeded! Thanks for the amazing support! Have a nice day
@doaction?I am delighted to hear that! You are very welcome. If you do encounter any further issues or have any questions then please don’t hesitate to reach out once more via this support forum.
