Hello, when I want to update my website, I get an error: :
Error 403: Please check your code, server configuration or contact your hosting provider.

When I deactivate the plugin everything works fine. Do you have any idea what the problem is?
Thank you and have a nice day!
    Best regards.

This doesn’t come from Wordfence. Wordfence doesn’t have any such warning, from what i know.

Do you have ANY other security related plugin or serverwide one?

Hi @master0303, thanks for your message.

Whilst I agree the error message isn’t a Wordfence block/message, it does seem like that error could just be a “friendly” message for something going wrong in the background. I hadn’t seen the specific error message myself, but after taking a look it has been seen before, connected to false-positives using “BeBuilder” plugin.

For that customer, putting Wordfence in Learning Mode helped allow the action. From the Wordfence Dashboard click on Manage WAF. Then you will see Basic Firewall Options > Web Application Firewall Status. Change the option to Learning Mode. You could then attempt to update your site again to teach Wordfence the request is normal and should be allowed in future. After your testing, switch the WAF from Learning Mode back to Enabled and Protecting to see if it continues to work.

    Thanks,
    Peter.

You too @master0303, happy to help out!

If you have further Wordfence questions in the future, by all means start a new topic any time!

    Peter.
