Error 403 on Customizing Theme

    I am no longer able to customize my theme. When I click on customize, the screen that displays has the customize menu but I cannot access it. When I click on “Save&Publish” I get a page saying Error 403 – Forbidden. I am hosted by Hostgator and I spent 30 minutes with them. I was told it was a wordpress issue.

    Also, I the older posts link does not work. When I click on it, it just simply displays the same screen without the older posts link.

  • Is your theme up to date? Any chance you want to switch to 2014 and check how the customizer works?

    I’ve tried at least 4 new themes. I can’t save and publish on any of them.

    Well, the thing is, when we diagnose problems like this, we take things back to the baseline installation, and 2014 is the default theme. When I looked at your site, I saw the 2011, ie the default theme from 3-4 years ago.

    I activated the Twenty Fourteen theme. Is this what you meant for me to do? Is there something else you are referring to when you say default theme?

    2014 = the default theme

    How does the customizer work now?
