• Hello,

I tried installing wordfence on the above domain. Install was successful, At activation, I encountered a blank screen after which every link in the admin area triggers an error 403.

I have manually removed wordfence, change all file permissions to 644 via ftp and changed all folder permissions to 755 but the issue still persists.

I see the following error in the cpanel error log “2023-03-14 06:22:30.345444 [INFO] [2581826] [T0] [IP Address:54730:HTTP2-1#APVH_lawdepot.international:443] File not found [/home/lawdepot/public_html/403.shtml]”

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

The error message just means the server could not find the file it should use to present a proper 403 error message to the user. It’s a consequence of, not the cause of the problem. By manually removing WordFence, you’ve not allowed it to properly extract itself from your system. I suggest asking WordFence support through their dedicated support forum how to best proceed from here.

BTW, a white screen is not necessarily caused by WordFence. When you encounter such a thing in the future, the first thing to do is to check your error log to find out the cause. Bear in mind the error message is where PHP realized there is a problem. The root cause could lie somewhere before PHP realized there’s a problem.
