error 403 Forbidden wp-admin access

  • I recently bought a linux server from amerinoc, and it has been more than 30 hours but i still cannot access my website as a wp admin, i think the files aren’t transferred good enough, and I am a beginner so can anyone please advise me to get through this?

    – 403 forbidden means that your browser isn’t able to load the scripts up because your server isn’t allowing it. This is a hard one to solve. Because anything could be blocking the server.
    – Most likely this is a server permissions/ownership issue, so ask your host what’s going on
    – check your .htaccess files for anything strange.
    – make sure your server settings are not overriding the .htaccess file
    – try a full Manual Upgrade, to make sure all the WordPress files are there and correct..

    could there be any consequence if i erase all the wordpress data that i copied with filezilla, and upload them once again?

    To be on safe side, always backup, in case!

    Otherwise, just follow the Manual Upgrade.
