    Hi there,
I am receiving the following error from Wordfence 6.3.1.1:
“Scan terminated with error: There was an error connecting to the the Wordfence scanning servers: cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10000 milliseconds”

The Diagnostic tool returns the following information:
“wp_remote_post() test to noc1.wordfence.com failed! Response was: cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10001 milliseconds<br />”
for both Connecting to Wordfence servers (http) & Connecting to Wordfence servers (https)

    I have disabled SSL Verification

    Other information:
Recently, our WordPress instance was migrated to a different server.

I’ve looked through the thread but not seen an applicable solution.

    Thank you!

    An addendum:

I followed instructions for reinstalling Wordfence completely, and it seems I’ve made matters worse. Or maybe I just got closer to the actual problem. Wordfence now fails to acquire a free API. It suggests I ask the WordPress server to connect to noc1.wordfence.com

I did this. They returned with the information that they were able to connect to the server. And ask that I request more information from Wordfence.

    Update:

After consulting with our WordPress server help desk, who tested a number of potential issues, it was determined that the error was on account of a server-side firewall block of the Wordfence IP address.

All error messages have been resolved – for now, in any case.

Hope this may help someone else with this problem in the future.

    Hi @mjouest,

Thanks for sharing this info. I’m glad you’ve got Wordfence up and running!
