• Hello ?? Until a month ago, I had a working WooCommerce. But now it crashes my whole site. I’m developing locally on Xampp when I try to access the site dashboard and it gives me a network related error. I did a brand new installation of WordPress and gradually added the plugins. And the moment I installed WooCommerce everything exploded – it kicked me out again and gave me the error I mentioned.

    Hi @blaugrana,

That’s very odd. We are not facing this issue nor other merchants are facing this issue. It sounds like an issue with your local installation of XAMPP. It is possible it was not configured correctly.

    • Can you please share let us know does the site crashes as you install or active WooCommerce?
    • Have you tried via other installations like LocalWP or any other service?

You can try out the free installation of WooCommerce on the Woo Express platform here and you will see that activating and having WooCommerce does not crash the site so it is something on your end with the XAMPP installation.

    Looking forward to your reply!

I also thought it was something from the exam, but I have both Joomla and Drupal on it and there is no problem with them. I haven’t changed anything in WordPress and Xampp for almost 1 year since I have WooCommerce. I’m very confused, I’ve read and tried everything but….it doesn’t work. What is happening. I log into my WordPress site normally and decide to download WooCommerce. Then I go to activate WooCommerce and lose access to the site?

    Hi @blaugrana,

    Thanks for getting back!

I understand that you are seeing issues while activating WooCommerce on your local setup using XAMPP. This could be due to an incorrect configuration of your XAMPP setup, leading to the issues you’re experiencing.

Having tested WooCommerce myself on various platforms including XAMPP, Local, and several hosting services, I’ve found that this issue doesn’t occur. It does look like the problem appears to be specific to the XAMPP environment on your machine.

Would you consider trying WooCommerce on a different setup, such as Local, or a web hosting platform, and let us know the outcome?

    Looking forward to your reply!

I decided to: Install XAMPP fresh to see how it behaves. And subsequently to see where I made changes (I have no memory of making any changes recently…). And I’ll stop by, looking through the forums, I saw that no one had this problem and figured something had crashed on me. Thanks for the answers and your time ??

I installed a new Xampp and the problem was gone. I feel confused – I don’t remember changing anything in the settings.. Can you give me an idea/ideas which Xampp settings might be causing this problem?

    Hi there,

    Welcome back!

I installed a new Xampp and the problem was gone.

Glad to hear that the issue is resolved. Thanks for updating us.

I feel confused – I don’t remember changing anything in the settings.. Can you give me an idea/ideas which Xampp settings might be causing this problem?

We’re not sure which setting or configuration might have caused this since it happened on your end on an offline setup. It is also possible that the previous instance of XAMPP was not installed correctly or might have incorrect/corrupted files and that was causing the issue.

Happy to hear that the issue is resolved.

Since the issue was not from WooCommerce but from the XAMPP setup on your end, can you please update the review?

How do I stop update the review?

I consider the question solved, thanks for the answers ??
