    You are having a similar issue to this topic. The backstretch effect is really intended to be used in areas with no constraints on width, because the script measures the width of the window, and displays the image at that width (which may, on large screens, mean stretching it beyond its actual size).

    You need to tell the plugin to only use the large image, instead of the backstretch image, and use the filter referenced to change which hook is used. HTH
