ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE when trying to install WordPress.

  • Hello, I recently decided to create a website using WordPress as my CMS. I purchased a domain and Bluehost to host the website.

    I have ran through the WordPress installation process many times, but still get Error code: ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE when I run the script.
    1. Ive uploaded all the WordPress files to my root directory
    2. created a mysql database
    3. edited the config.php file

    Could the problem be that I have yet verify my BlueHost account? I just purchased hosting yesterday and can’t verify over the phone until tomorrow. I think this could be the problem because I can’t access my server until i verify the account.

    Have you discussed this with your hosting provider?

    Yes, possibly it’s because you have to confirm / verify your account first. But as Tara said before, open a ticket with your hosting provider.
