• Hi, I have been working on a frustrating problem for a half year now. My webshop loses connection one or two times a day for about 20 seconds. I get the err_connection_refused error. I can also see in Google Analytics that clicks suddenly stop for a brief period of time.
    Everytime the hostingserver is still up and running, so it is a problem with WordPress itself.
    THere are no errors or warnings in the debuglog about anything. I have been optimizing everything I can, plugins, themes, database. I also have installed WordPress again, but the problem still occurs.
    Sometimes it occurs when someone is in the checkout process, sometimes there is no one in the checkout.

    What else can I do to investigate this problem?

    Check your server’s error log. If something is dying, it would be logged.

    THank you Steve, I have asked my hostingprovider for the logs, they allready said there was nothing in the logs, but I have asked to check again, so hopefully that’s gonna shed some light.

    I now have seen the logs, but there really is nothing there in the error or usage logs.

    Maybe tweak some php settings?
