Erase Personal Data – Change the wordpress@ email

  • Hey Everyone!

    A total newbie to wordpress and setting up my first site, need a little help

    I have been testing the GDPR Erase Personal Data tool and so far it works perfectly but there is one thing bugging me i cannot seem to correct. The email that the user receives to verify the request etc is from [email protected]

    Is there a way i can change this to info@ or GDPR@ anything rather than wordpress@

    Any help most appreciated!!

  • This bugs me too. Unfortunately, the $headers argument in the wp_mail() function was left off in the privacy related emails. The $headers argument is what you’d need to modify the “from” email.

    The only other option as far as I can see would be to change the sitewide “from” email by using the wp_mail_from filter. I’m sure there is a plugin out there that will modify the “from” email too.
