Ephemera Widget in customizr?

    I like the function of the Ephemera Widget in Theme Twentyfourteen. So I ask whether it is possible to have the same functionality in customizr?

    I have seen that there is something called “post format” in customizr, which goes in the direction of my initial question. I read the comment on the customizr homepage (postformats and navigation) but I do not understand how to get this function to work.

    1. How can I get this post format, that I choose on editing, finally be displayed on my site?

    2. How can I get the postformat to be displayed in a widget e.g. sidebar, I would like to have a video (post) displayed in the sidebar?
