Entire Posts Blank With Video Links/Embeds; Why?

  • Some of my posts containing links or embeds for video produce entirely blank posts, both in preview or if published.

    Specifically, all other text in the post vanishes. Apart from the headline, no HTML is generated. This includes text above and below the video link/embed.

    This does not happen n all embeds and all links to video, but it is happening with increasing frequency.

    Is this a known problem? What is going on that prompts WP to fail to generate any HTML and to fail to include the rest of the post?

    I’m using no plugins to handle video.

    Here is an example of a link that produces that fault:

    Esmi, I’m not in the habit of retaining empty posts.

    Without seeing the error happen it is like taking the car to the mechanic and he can’t duplicate the problem because you left the faulty part at home.

    But the little I could check, I was unable to duplicate your problem. Any html I posted after the above code was fine. I posted this on an actual site . . .

    and it worked fine.
    So the first thing would be the old disable plugins check.

    BTW, always post a URL. That way we can check for other things that might be causing the problem.
