    Hi there,

I am finding my way through WooCommerce. I am winning, mostly, but some things are not budging. Like in the cart/basket the whole entire cart seems to be a link that, when clicked, simply tries to update the basket, with obviously no result. Just reloads the thing.

Do you have any suggestions as to what may be causing this and how I can remove it? I’ve been searching for days and have come up with nothing that works.

    Thanks in advance,
    Kyle.

@crackenuts – glad to hear that you are WooCommerce is working well for you.

I’m not sure I totally understand the problem you are describing. I tried having a look at the URL you provided but the theme you are using seems to be missing most of it’s stylesheet.

The cart should show a summary of the products that have been added to the order thus far. From there you can edit quantities or remove products entirely. You can then continue on to the checkout page to place the order.

I would recommend switching to the default Storefront or Twenty Nineteen themes for the sake of testing since your current theme is missing a lot of styling.

Then check to make sure that your cart and checkout pages are properly set and contain the proper shortcodes.

Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced and first check to make sure that all the all of your pages are properly set. Then head over to the Pages tab and edit the pages that you’ve picked for your Cart and Checkout pages. Those pages need to contain the following shortcode:

    Cart: [woocommerce_cart]
    Checkout: [woocommerce_checkout]

As I mentioned, you may find it helpful to switch to the one of the default themes during these tests.

    Hi Phil,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, sorry, more information the better, and I didn’t give you much. I am trundling my way through WordPress (about 9 months now) and now Woocommerce. I’m developing my own theme from scratch, so the stylesheet’s missing a lot since, well, I haven’t done any styling yet. Either way, I realised it was because of my index.php template. Had stray links in it. So nothing to do with style anyhow.

    Thank you for the reply!
